Refund notes

Last updated 19 August 2026. This page describes how we handle fees for confirmed, invoiced work. This website does not take payment.

Eligibility

Refunds apply only to fees we have actually received under a signed scope. Australian Consumer Law remedies for services not provided with due care remain available and are not limited by this page where the law forbids limitation.

Timeframe

A cooling-off request for a Workshop Day or Succession Sitting must arrive in writing at least five full business days before the booked date. For The SME Board Compact, a full refund is available if you cancel in writing before the Week 0 intake call. After that call, the rules below for partial refunds apply.

Full or partial refund

If we cancel because of illness or a clash we cannot cover, you receive a full refund of fees paid for undelivered days, or a new date at your option. If you withdraw from the Compact after Week 0 but before Week 4, we refund 50% of the programme fee, less any non-refundable travel already committed with your written approval. After Week 4, remaining sessions may be paused once for up to three months; unused weeks are not cashed out except where Consumer Law requires it.

Non-refundable items

Booked third-party rooms, pre-agreed interstate flights, and printed workbooks already produced for your cohort are not refundable once purchased. The Tablelands Retainer’s first month is not refundable after the first packed agenda has been sent. Dislike of tone, disagreement with a mix recommendation, or a change of strategy at your firm are not refund grounds.

Process

Write to info@webcraftbase.digital with the invoice number, the engagement name, and whether you seek a date change or a refund. We confirm receipt within two working days and give a decision within ten working days after we have the facts.

Processing time and method

Approved refunds are returned by the original payment method (typically bank transfer in Australian dollars) within fifteen business days of approval. We do not refund in cash from the Millaa Millaa office.

Cancellation

You may cancel a future Workshop Day with five business days’ notice without fee. Inside five days we may charge 40% if we cannot fill the room. We may cancel for weather or safety on the Tablelands; in that case you choose a new date or a full refund of that day’s fee.

Exceptions

If a participant is medically unable to continue the Compact, we will attempt to transfer the remaining weeks to another director in the same entity, or pause as above. Transfer to a different company is a new scope. Firms in insolvency or with a liquidator appointed should tell us immediately; unused prepaid fees will be handled according to that process and applicable law.
